We are looking for

Head of Global NPM Procurement

at one of our locations in Asia region - China (Shanghai Songjiang region).

This role is globally responsible for leading and developing the Non-Production Material (NPM) Procurement function, including MRO and CAPEX, across all spend areas. It focuses on driving strategy, digitalization, and continuous improvement while ensuring performance through KPI-based leadership and standardized processes.

Your tasks:

  • Breakdown of the defined and agreed-upon mid-term (3 Years) and long-term (5 Years) strategy goals and objectives into NPM Procurement tasks with clear actions, responsibilities and due dates to ensure the implementation of the goals and objectives

  • Functional leader of global NPM procurement

  • Development and empowerment of procurement employees to ensure that mid – and long-term goals and objectives will be achieved by the global NPM Procurement Team

  • Breakdown of the agreed Procurement Vision and Mission with clear actions, responsibilities and due dates to ensure the implementation

  • Build Global NPM Procurement strategy

  • Development of global commodity group strategies in cooperation with the Business Segments

  • Proper reporting of the procurement results and development to the C-Level

  • Escalation management

  • Supplier management and development on the defined supplier panel (SSC)

  • Implementation and Digitalization of robust procurement processes for entire responsibility

  • Control and management of global procurement commodity budget in terms of headcount and spend

Job requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree (Preferably - in one of the following fields (or equivalent education/background): Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management)

Work Experience:

  • 3–5 years of cross-functional business experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of functional experience in Procurement and process development.

  • Experience in working in a global matrix organization.

Expertise:

  • Understanding of the global automotive or mobility market.

  • Experience or knowledge in production and lean methodologies.

  • Business-level proficiency in English and Mandarin (Chinese).

  • Skills: process-oriented thinking, analytical ability, strategic thinking, initiative, goal orientation, leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, teamwork and cooperation, intercultural competence.

  • Readiness for Business Trips (approx. 20 %).
