Your tasks:

Objective / Role (executive summary of the purpose of the role)

  • Primary role of the function is to act in highly autonomous way representing a bridge between customer, Voltaira and factory in matters concerning quality and process engineering for Torque Sensor Cable production. Propose improvement in the business management processes to enable smooth flow of information and operation between the three companies.

  • Be present on-site at the site in Komárom, Hungary.

  • Requirements management. Ensure acknowledgement, cascading of requirements to all necessary functions and respect of quality standards, regulatory customer requirements and lessons learned specific to the Torque sensor cable. Plan and perform audits at Voltaira and in the factory to verify integrity of the QMS.

  • Voice of Customer. Represent the customer quality expectations in the Voltaira, factory and suppliers’ organization. Initiate problem solving in case of deviations from expected conditions of quality deliverables.

  • Problem solving. Lead quality problem solving between Customer, Voltaira, factory and suppliers if required, validate risk-based decisions on facts and data, with primary goal to prevent quality problems, protect the customer in case of risk and ensure defect free supply with responsiveness within the time limits expected.

  • Promote Zero defect and Stop at Defect mindset during resolution of quality problems and deployment of engineering changes in production activities at factory. Validate completion of all activities during and following engineering changes, perform standard or customer specific audits, use readiness assessment checklist before sample build, document, follow up corrective actions, validate activities performed by the factory and Voltaira teams

  • Control and coordinate all necessary equipment modification with the machine suppliers with factory and with customer.

  • Approve the planned safety stock levels (also the changes) for spare parts and single requests initiated by factory for componenst with no planned safety stock.

  • Drive manufacturing process improvements at factory.

  • Maintain Voltaira process engineering and quality documentation up to date with revised risk assessment (PFMEA – IQS) following engineering changes, corrective actions, and lessons learned implementation.

  • Prepare and submit PPAP to customer. Review and approve the necessary supplier PPAP changes.

  • Take leadership of Voltaira and factory teams when required by circumstances in matters concerning quality and process engineering.

  • Communicate clearly with facts and data any deviation from quality expectations.

  • Initiate escalation to functional and governance responsible manager, when factors causing a risk to product quality, timing, financial risk (COPQ).

Job requirements

  • University degree in science or equivalent experience level

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)

  • Design of Experiments (DOE)

  • Strong problem solving

  • Risk management in accordance with FMEA

  • Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) or equivalent

  • Control plan

  • Trained / Certified Process auditor according to VDA 6.3.

  • OEM specific requirements knowledge

    Work experience

  • Automotive quality min 5 years

  • Automotive Quality planning min 2 years

  • Automotive Manufacturing min 3 years

  • Customer contact in matters concerning automotive quality min 3 years

  • English language knowledge: very strong, German nice to have
