We are looking for
Global Head of Manufacturing Engineering (m/f/d)
at one of our locations in EMEA region - in Germany (Hausen im Wiesental), Czechia (Krupka), France (Masevaux-Niederbruck)
The role involves strategic leadership in global manufacturing engineering, driving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness through industrialization, automation, equipment engineering, and factory design. It also focuses on team leadership across local teams among the plants, cross-functional collaboration, and maintenance strategies to optimize production capabilities and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
Your tasks:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the global manufacturing engineering strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Industrialization: Oversee the transition of products from RfQ to manufacturing, ensuring scalability and manufacturability. Lead the introduction of new manufacturing processes and technologies to optimize production capabilities.
Equipment Engineering: Manage the design, development, and deployment of manufacturing equipment. Ensure all equipment meets safety, quality, and performance standards.
Automation: Drive the implementation of advanced automation solutions to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge automation technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
Maintenance: Develop and oversee global maintenance strategies to ensure minimal downtime and maximum equipment efficiency. Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs to prolong equipment life and reliability.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a diverse global team of manufacturing engineering professionals. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous learning and development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Segments, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing processes. Act as a key liaison between manufacturing plants and corporate leadership, providing regular updates on engineering projects and performance metrics.
Job requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced engineering degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in automotive industry (Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier) in a senior leadership role in Engineering
Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
Experience to work in Global matrix organization
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all organizational levels.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing engineering.
Readiness for Business Trips (approx. 50 %)
